Hello everyone. A friend of mine has come across a carp-load of 3 LED circuits that I can't quite figure out.
From the info I found all I have to do is get the proper voltage going through the LEDs and they will light up.
The circuit board doesn't have anything labeled except the single resistor and 5.0v, assuming that means it needs to go on a 5.0v power rail.
So what I did was looked up in wikipedia what power in the power supply should be hooked up so that I get 5v. It said the blacks were ground and red was 5v and yellow 12v. So I hooked up the LEDs purple to red and black to black. That didn't work, I tried the other way around hoping for the best, but nothing. None of the circuits work. I tried to see if there was something needed to complete the circuit but it looks complete. Any Ideas on where I can find more info.
Also, each LED set has two plugs the same as a fan drawing power from the motherboard, althought these don't seem to be needed to complete the circuit, the only thing I can think of is to use a jumper to close one or both of the plugs. They look like the circuit completes without the jumper though, on of the plugs are attached to the opposite site of the board where the power is connected, they both use the same prongs on opposing sides of the PCB board.
