[FIXED] Joypad stopped working?

I'm not sure why, but my Joypad stopped working after I started my SuSE 10.1 RC 3 box today. It's being given the device /dev/input/event5, though it has no /dev/input/js0. I no very little about USB devices in Linux, and how they work. They've just always worked. =P I wonder if anyone can help me.

When I cat /dev/input/event5 it does display the raw data coming from the game pad.

Well, after having a chat with Yast2, and checking some other things, the joystick started working again, go fig. Though I really don't like not knowing why it went out in the first place, and why it came back.
