Hello,

I currently have a 266MHz Beige G3 Power Mac, and I have just recently installed Yellow Dog Linux 3.0.1 Sirius, which is the last version which supports OldWorld Mac's.

And I am having a slight problem as I don't have any sound, sound card detection detects it OK and gives me the Vendor as Apple which is correct, model as DMASOUND and using the module dmasound_pmac. But I am definately getting no sound at all and I keep getting error messages on boot up about it.

Is there anything I can do to make it have sound again, an updated driver availible etc?

Also when trying to change some setting in Konsole, I typed ifconfig, and it said file not found!

ifconfig is usually /sbin/ifconfig, and sometimes isn't on the user's PATH.

did you make sure to check which channels are muted and their volumes...
