Hi,

this question is part of my assignment.

Explain how a C++ compiler can compute the space that needs to be reserved on the stack when a specific function is called?

please do give any hints/suggestions...

thanks!

Why don't you just email me your assignment and I'll do it for you :(
Better yet... http://www.google.com/search?q=c%2B%2B+compiler+reserve+stack+space&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial

But seriously, if you've got a homework question, to me it's like any other question here...you should put forth enough effort beforehand to ask an informed question...not just open a "CS homework - do it for me!" thread...
