Lo there,
i am going to be upgrading my wifes box pretty soon. She uses ubuntu. the new mobo and cpu i want to get is an AMD 64. i have not heard a lot of good stuff about the breezy 64 distro, so i was wondering what a good flavor of linux would be best here. One selling point for me with ubuntu was that it really did 'just work'. Can i use the regular 386 version of ubuntu ? That would be ideal. I dont really desire to have to jump thru any hoops to get firefox or OOffice 2 to run well, even if i am not using the full potential of the 64 archetecture. Thanks for any suggestions.
