I have installed just about every networking tool on ubuntu's repo list, for my job will soon require that I go to school for my CEH.
I am picking my brain on this issue, I have a mimo d-link router aprox 50,000 sq feet or range on this transmission. I have wpa-psk2 with a nasty password, I have tried to crack this password before and even old john the ripp couldnt do it,
but for some reason, if I turn off my encryption on the route I cant connect, but my wifi setting on wlan0 is default no wep no nothing....
I ghosted my image, threw xp on and tried to connect and it wouldnt let my past the password. I have not edited any files, and I have changed the password 3 times to see if it was just stuck in the memory " to say". still connects every time.
it is currently broadcasting in normal "g" mode. not in Super g mode with dynamic......
I am stumped, i can connect to any password encryped machine on any network, and Im not sure how it is happening.....
anyone wanna take a whirl at this answer? :confused:
