Apple Mighty Mouse

Does anybody know if Apple's Mighty Mouse will even function under Linux, or does it need OSX to work? It looks as though the entire surface of the mouse is a trackpad, which means no buttons. Given my prior experience with trackpads, I am not even sure if it would work at all if my fingers were wet or dirty. It is an interesting design, if it works.

I think it works under Windows. I know that much. I'd imagine the touch pad just mapped to a Z-axis, or whatever buttons up/down/left/right scroll movements map to. So, if a Microsoft mouse with its tilty-wheel thing can work, I'd assume the mighty mouse would, too.
