Hi guys I'm shopping around for a very good remote control software for a lan with 60+ client computers (xp) 2 win2003 servers. (Also a debian server but do not need to remote desktop manage it).
I find that there are so many of them to choose from (lansurveyor, radmin, pcanywhere ....) . But I would need some comments on which would be most suitable for the environment.
Used any? What are your views?

tsclient is a nice Windows looking from end to rdesktop if thats what you are looking for.

rdesktop server -a 16
tends to work quite well, the tsclient front end is a nice gui, but fairly clunky considering how easy rdesktop is to use, i can type that line before tslcient can load

agreed but for a windows admin the tclient gui is a good start.

Thanks guys.
I have no option but to use windows xp workstation for managing the desktops. Therefore I am looking for remote desktop management software that will run on XP. I need the software in order to make my work easier in resolving problems without having to make a trip downstairs and upstairs to the physical staff pc whenever they need my assistance. The description of the ideal scenario is this:
1. Staff raise a ticket for the problem
2. I respond to the ticket and ask them to allow enable remote desktop access.
3. Staff enables remote desktop access and sits back to observe the activity on screen. (Well for security reasons).
cheers

Yes. But in my opinion this is where you find true network administrators.

then look into rdesktop.
This is a built in remote session on XP/2000. It allows exactly that. It falls under the Help and Support section on XP.
In "Administrator Mode", it allows a single remote connection and is "free" from MS themselves.
