I suspect you're going to have to be more specific than that if you're going to get any help with this from the forum admins. Are you getting error messages? Page won't load? No Post Reply button? Something more than "can't reply" at least.

ok... I make out my reply and I go to post it and all goes well... but when i go to see my post it is not there.
ODD seems to be working now. ??? For you does the moderator preview the messages in that forum and not post them until he does or something?

Yep, looks like it's moderated (with apologies to Brian for the spammy test message;)).

I posted my first thread and it shows in my profile as posted but can'y find it anywhere. Does this happen for a particular reason?

If you posted in the Events section, then it's because that forum is moderated to avoid Spam. Otherwise I don't think it is normal, no (and I see that it has already appeared in your post count, but not when I search for all of your posts).

Does that mean it was received as 'spam' and if so, what did I do wrong in posting? (never used a forum b4)!!!
Thanks

Not necessarily, it may just mean that whoever reviews such things hasn't been available to okay it. This time of year it's entirely possible that they are on vacation or something.
Not knowing what you were posting about I can't say what you should do if it was rejected as Spam. I would think that any Linux-related Events should get posted to this forum just fine.

There we go, I just approved what there was waiting but it was only 4 posts. So if they aren't there now they have been eaten by the Post Monster :D
I'm not sure how the forum filters out what posts need to be 'moderated', I think it has something to do with content and the posters address...or something, I'm guessing... :o

Ah, he posted to the Help File Library, so I'm not surprised it needed to get moderated. Actually it should probably be moved to the main Installation forum since that's where questions are supposed to go.

Yes -- don't put questions in the "for-reference" forums, please! A lot fewer people will read them, and you'll waste a lot of time waiting for an answer.

Actually pre-moderation is set on a usergroup basis. You may be able to set it per forum also, I have to check.
