Linux Server

Hey i am going to make a shoutcast server on a comp of mine..the only problem is i dont know which version of linux to use... I need rock hard stability first, then speed.

I have Mandrake 10.1, Fedora Core 3, Mempis 2003, Simply Mempis, or Debian 3.1

please help!

Go with Debian for stability.


But then again, any of the distro's you meantioned, and any others for that can be as stable or unstable as you want.

Debian is a very stable and easy to maintain, so that would be my choice too.

Another vote for the "which distro?" forum, not the "technical" forum. :p

CentOS (www.centos.org) :D ;) :p

Might be easier to set up using GUI tools and such.
