Hi, I am runnin Slamd64 on my a8n-e/athlon64-3000+ mobo. With the versions of ALSA it came with (1.0.9) and the drivers for my onboard 8-channel realtek alc850, i get sound out of the front and rear channels but not the side or centre/sub channels. I didn't see the soundcard listed on the alsa website under nVidia... and there was no "realtek" or "rtl". I don't mind the side channels not working so much, but not having a sub channel isn't fun.
i couldn't find any info on this problem... no one else seems to have it. i tried everything in alsamixer and still nothing, so i'm stumped :confused:
