Has anyone seen a nice Power Point Presention about the Linux operating system? Something that would create an overview for management newbies.

How would you outline Linux for you boss, nephew or nextdoor neighbor

Power Point Presention about the Linux operating system

That, by itself, is an oxymoron. However, I define an oxymoron as a stupid person with pimples. Anyway, if nobody else comes up with an existing presentation, I'm volunteering to help make one, with <gag> Powerpoint.

What is the Linux equivilant to powerpoint? I have never really heard of any Linux presentation creator programs, but come to think of it, I need one too.

openoffice-impress. In fact, I like it better than Power Point.

It also just occured to me, could it make a presentation that could be played on XP?

Unless you have a laptop, that might be a problem for you too. Heck, I'll just download it and see.

Yes, as phlipant says Impress which is part of the OpenOffice.org suite, or KPresenter which is KOffice's effort will both suffice, and will (if you must) save your work in Powerpoint format.

I define an oxymoron as a stupid person with pimples. :D

Oxy + moron = stupid person with pimples. Bad joke, I know. It usually goes over better when people are drinking :-)

My daughters have been using StarOffice/OpenOffice.org to do their presentations all through high school. Their 'workgroup' members never know they weren't done with powerpoint.

That's good enough for me.
