other than fluxbox, what other window managers can change the desktops by scrolling the scroll wheel on the wallpaper?

xfwm (XFCE's) does by default and it can be enabled for kwin (KDE's).

hmm so pretty much all of them but metacity, so just dont use gnome or use a different wm with gnome and you should have the feature your looking for

or, there'sa way you can use ob3 instead of metacity under gnome....get the best of both worlds...

KDE, if you have the pager applet on your taskbar, when you mouse over the pager area and scroll it will do it for you...

Maybe it's just me, but I really liked this feature until I realized I was losing productivity...
While I was thinking about something I used to scroll the wheel and browsing between the viewports, often ending up in another program and losing focus of what I was doing in the first place... :D

I normally bind alt+1..4 to each desktop - trying to save on my poor, arthritic mouse hand. ;)
