Enlightenment stops loading at 87% and nothing further happens. If kill esd, the sound daemon, with the term signal esd goes zombie, or at least takes up all the CPU. If then kill esd properly enlightenment starts up again.
If try to enable sound inside enlightenment, enlightenment freezes (usually after one mouse click) or the mouse pointer changes to a X and gets trapped inside the dialog box.
Did have sound working - thought I'd fixed the problem by starting esd with 'esd &' from .xsession, instead of using auto-spawn=1 in esd's config file. But problem's started again.
