help with an old laptop [changed useless title]

hi ive got a real old trogon laptop that was given to me my only use for it is for my wife to write her papers on it or for my kids to play with it(more time for unreal for me)i have been lookin all over for a copy of linux to use on this laptop never tried linux before anyone got any ideas


cpu mmx 166mhz

and it was runnin windows 95 before but its doin something screwy and i will gladly through it in the trash before microsoft gets 5 or 10 dollars more from me any help is appreciated thanx

its an mp 978 trogon with a big ole 16 mg ram and intel mmx 166 mhz
