I have a MSI K7D Master Dual CPU board, running dual Athlon MP 2000+'s. My fans on my heatsinks are beginning to show their age (bought these almost 4 years ago), and it's time to replace the heatsink/fan on each. I would like recommendations on heatsinks for these CPUs that will fit on this board. The board is in a full-tower server case, so space is not an issue vertically. I want the highest CFM that will work efficiently. I do not want a "2 piece" heatsink/fan combo that uses a passive heatsink and seperate fan, such as what Zalmann uses. Price is no factor (to an extent; I'm not buying a water-cooling system). Neither is the noise factor; this will be in a very loud enviroment, so noise is the least of my worries.

I'm very happy with the thermaltakes I cool my opterons with. They never go over 45C no matter how long they stay pegged.

Well, my CPUs are Socket A (462). So that solution will not work for me.

Well there always has to be one and I guess it will be me today.

I put 4 Thermaltake fans in my desktop PC, when I built it orginally.

2 of them burned out within the first year and a third within 18 months.

I don't smoke, keep my case clean, etc.

The heatsink still works though :p
