gentoo stage 1 script/bootscript problem with downloading

i have setup a stage 2 install of gento before . im having problems trying to get my stage 1 install to download to make my bootstrap. the problem seems that no MIRROR has the correct files i need. is there a MIRROR that has /dist with the correct files. i need binutils-2.15.92.2-patches . etc and binutils. i have tried almost every mirror on gentoo.orgs site and none of htem have the correct files . thats a total pisser.

Well, in this situation all you can do is being patient and wait - or get it directly from the developper and compile it manually, which isn't a good idea since you'll have a mess updating later. I assume the retrieval from any other package works okay, doesn't it?

wll that is very stupid when stage one requires that package to be build. i was told to do
emerge --sync then rerun the bootstrap.sh scirpt and it worked :)

Yeah, before installing any software it's smart to update one's list of packages. ;)
