larryknoppix

I am a Linux Newbie. I can get around ok in Windows. I have a machine that I want to run Knoppix version 3.9. This machine's Bios will not allow booting directly from a CD. So, even though I have a functional CD, I am still stuck. I would like to be able to create a bootable floppy in order to direct the boot process toward the CD. There seems to be a file call mkbootfloppy.bat that is supposed to be on the Knoppix cd, but the version I have doesn't seem to have it when being veiwed with a windows machine. It seems that even though I don't know much about linux, there does exist a simple .bat that will guide me into creating this boot floppy. However, I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can find this? Have I got the wrong version of Knoppix? I have seen other tips that descripe doing some linux dd command and since I am not remotely Linux capable yet, I was really looking for help getting this .bat file. My assumption is that if I can get this Knoppix to work, it would be a great first introduction into Linux and would get me up and running very quickly. Once there, then I could become better versed in this "new" os. Anyone got time to help me find this .bat or step me through it while speaking Windows language?
