How do you change your bios to boot from the cds? that I mad to install Linux.

There are different methods for entering the bios setup, depending on what your computer is. F2 or Delete are the most common. Watch closely when it first starts booting and it may say something like "Press F2 to enter setup" Once in the bios setup, browse through the menu until you find the boot device or boot order section and make your appropriate selection.

If you can post your exact brand/model I can be more specific for you.

Must not have had enough coffee yet. First reading the thread title I thought, hmm wants to physically replace the BIOS chip with something from Mr. Bios.

I used to have a link to a web site that listed the key strokes for a whole range of BIOS types. Can't seem to find it now.

Anyway do what psych-major suggests. Sometimes though that info is not displayed. Depends on the mobo maker. If that happens, then google.
