mac os apps compile on linux

can you install mac os x apps on a *nix box?
like freebsd, linux etc.

not if they use any of the proprietary Apple GUI stuff... which they all or most will likely do.

there are a few console based programs that "should" compile ok on a *nix box same for the programs that rely on the X11 server on OSX
