[SOLVED] Ubuntu root passwd

I just installed Ubuntu and it was really easy. But I don't remember it asking for a root password or I must have spaced out. I can't shut down the system now. Did I jsut miss the root password prompt or is there a default root passwd for ubuntu?

Ubuntu uses sudo

ie sudo poweroff
or sudo shutdown -h now

with your user password.

Oh sweet. Thanks for the help. Finally I can turn off my server. I didn't want to break anything with a hard power down. I've done that before >.<
