I am searching for a AMD64 distro and I noticed that Debian has one, even though it's not "stable"/finished.

If you've tried it, or you know someone that has ... could you please enlighten me on the result :-)

Thanks!

Ive used Debian "Pure64" it was ok.
I prefer Ubuntu and use it now and it is very stable and full featured.

Not flagged as stable doesn't means unusable, IMHO.

Debian is good, testing versions doesnt really crashes also, it has to have some standard before they release it. Stable for Debian would mean rock solid for me :)

Debian pure64 is really safe to try! I love it. I would say that it was even better because it is pure64 and doesn't go making a mess with the 32-bit app libraries (chroots).

It works like a dream by me, only problem being that some apps are not yet 64-bit, for example, OpenOffice...
