Sorry about my sob story post. I have found something that has worked (Feather 0.7.5), which unlike 0.7.4, has been stable for me.

The problem is... I get a connection/link, ndiswrapper sets up perfectly, wlan0 is recognized, and I can even successfully pump (same as "DHCP broadcast" in netcardconfig script). But I cannot access the internet (or even ping the router). I have checked in the router and I my address has not been denied or anything. This is a problem I'm having just with Feather 0.7.5. hard drive install (I'm currently on the Feather 0.7.5 livecd and internet is working great). Could this have anything to do with versions of various things such as kernels, ndiswrapper, or could the hard drive install script have a bug somewhere? It would be great if oOzi himself had a possible answer for this.

Otherwise Feather is an excellent small, good looking, and manageable distro which sure beats the bloat of other things.

Although this problem just happens with the Feather 0.7.5 (only the hard drive install too, livecd gives me internet), here are some specs:

Athlon XP 2400+
D-LInk DWL-G122 USB adapter
hp pavilion a287x

Have you checked the /etc/resolv.conf? I should contain the IP number of you router (or or ISP DNS).

I have, and it shows both DNS servers both from livecd and from hard drive. I don't think that would be the problem though because my internet is working on feather 0.7.5 livecd but not the same distro on hard drive (but it will somehow still successfully pump on hard drive install though). I really wish oOzi the creator himself would take a look at this.

How about the output of "route -n"?

And give oOzi time. Not everyone visits the site 8 times a day like some of us.:)
