Nvidia FX5200 Go inspiron 5150

Got Gentoo installed and installed KDE ran the X -configure and it makes the config but bombs out saying it couldn't use the nvidia-kernel module I emerged both nvidia kernel and nvidia-glx still no luck. DOes anyone have any suggestions for getting an Nvidia FX5200 Go to work its on a dell inspiron 5150 laptop. Thanks :) :rolleyes:

Care to post the graphic card section of your xorg.conf file? (it'll be in /etc/X11)

Tryed your reccommendation je fro and it setup the xdm as default however i am using kdm as my manager. I did notice a change however after I added the nvidia into the autoload.d The odd thing is I can start kde usinbg startx and I get a 640X480 60 HZ display maybe I need to add some commands to the x file

Okay I looked at the log and the first two command seem to have gotten the nvidia rolling. I corrected an error with my Mice on a laptop. everything seems to be peachy now :)
