I'm using Suse 9.3 Pro and KDE. I'm wondering where I can change the default icons for folder etc...

Thanks, Walter

First place to look would be the kde control panel. Probably under looks or appearance or something. Been awhile since I've looked at the kde control panel, so I'm not quite 100% positive (more like 100% sure that it's likely that it's somewhere in there! :D )

Alright, to change Icons are simple!

Go to Control Center!
Click the Menu Veiw/Mode/Tree, becuase tree mode is easier IMO
Expand Appearance & Themes
Click on Icons

Now on the right hand side you will see the already pre-installed icon sets. Now just my selecting a diffrent icon set, then clicking apply, you can change the look of all the basic icons in KDE. Also under the list you can see install new Icons. With that all you have to do is click on any archived file that has an icon set in them, and they will automaticly install to your KDE, and appear on the list.

If you need icons I suggest you go to: kde-look.org (http://kde-look.org) and try some out there.

I use the Nuvola Theme.
