Alright, I have a bit of a problem.
I used to own a Radeon 9600 Pro, and setting it up was a pain, and it never ran any of my games right.
So I went and got myself an nVidia 5700 LE 256MB DDR graphics card.
Works perfectly, set up was a breeze, but I still feel that performance is lacking compared to my old Radeon, though I kept using the nVidia due to lack of good Ati drivers. But now I hear of theis new easier to install Ati drivers, my question now is, will I be able to set the damn thing up, and get it to play my games in Linux with out screwing up, and bett performance?
I play; Doom 3, Half-Life (dx9Wine), Half-Life 2 (Cedega), World Of Warcraft (Cedega), and many other old native Linux games i.e. Quake series, Seriuos Sam, Savage...
My distro is SuSE 9.3 Pro, and I would like to know people's opinion on theis to cards in Linux, and if I should stick with the nVidia card, or throw my Radeon back in.
SuSE 9.3 uses the 2.6.11 kernel
