I don't think there really is a different, it's just marketing

To me a laptop is under 10lbs and a notebook is over 10lbs :p

They are the same thing, different nams for different countries / locations. But don't be caught out by a "mobile computer" Those will be the ones with an Intel Mobile Pentium 4 processor, which is essentially a glorified desktop procesor, which makes the laptop/notebook thick and heavy, but very fast clock speds, like 2GHz and over, and then there is the Pentium 4 M which is threal deal from Intel, AMD simply call them the AMD Mobile processor.

Just be careful. If the price is too cheap take a look at the details.

I saw that notebook the other day when I was helping my friend pick out a laptop for school. That thing is so tiny, and the screen is tiny! Its weird to see an OS like winxp on that small of a screen. It would be even better to see linux on :o
