php 4 or php 5?

I want to learn php. Should i learn php 4 first or just straight to php 5?

There isn't too much of a diffrence, v5 does OOP, v4 isn't suppose to but some how I can with my system. Otherwise its basically just function change all of which can be found on the quick referance (http://www.php.net/quickref.php).

There is no much difference in php 4 and 5. There is nothing dependent. PHP 5 is more robust and more object oriented.

If you're your own boss and/or writing for your own amusement, you can go with php5.
OTOH, if you will be doing maintenance and/or looking for a job, there's a heck of a lot more php4 out there (inc examples), so that might be the better route ...
