Well, I don't really think the site is funny. Good humor is subtle and based on reflection, this site isn't. Probably the reason why I don't like the Simpsons' show either.

I'd find this a lot funnier if I could find useful linux information on google. Usually, I can't. Google generally supplies an unhelpful list of haystacks to search for my particular needle of the day.

Google is great for finding a business or my favorite porno actress, but a search of this site (http://www.justlinux.com) is usally more useful when it comes to practical Linux info. You should always search here before asking a question.

And by the way, if you ask quesions here, you should always use a topic name that helps other people who are searching for the same information. Don't give your thread a name like "Stupid Newbie Question". There are no stupid questions. There are, however, stupid thread titles-- and that is the all-time champ! :D

How can you make a statement like that? Humour is totally personal and subjective.

I think that that was pretty clearly intended as an expression of personal taste, and as such is perfectly legitimate. I think that I agree. This is put-down humor, and put-down humor needs to be subtle and clever, or else it's just mean. To my way of thinking, if you're going to be tasteless or mean, you'd better be funny.

Or have something important to convey, and I don't think that this qualifies, because, when it comes to Linux, I don't usually find Google very helpful.

If you don't want to answer a question, don't answer it.

Yes, I agree. As blackbelt noticed, this was a subjective statement. Probably I should have said more explicitely that it was. :)

Isn't it obvious? What else could it be?

It just seemed to me that it was being stated as fact rather than oppinion. It's no big deal.
