oops... dang it... They're on a shelf on the desk along with the Slax CD.

But, hey, this is a hardware goody bag. :D I always haul it out when I open up a case. I'm adding a hard drive. Uh... and vacuuming out the dust bunnies and spiders.

I don't have a bag, I have an entire closet. Any time someone gets rid of a computer I ask them if I can have it first. Then I go through and take out the parts that I think I might have some use for somewhere down the line. I have a set of speakers, subwoofer, 6 gb hdd, slimline cd-rw/dvd combo drive, tons of ram of various sizes and speeds, 3 or 4 IDE cables, two IDE to sound card cables, 16 MB Riva TNT2, an acrylic case full of misc screws (used to hold thumbtacks), an older case, and a couple of processors. My wife hates it everytime I bring home another box to strip for parts. It's come in quite handy though many times.

Along with the normal pc repair/parts/tools I keep the ultimate repair tool.

Hey, you need to clip your toenails as bad as I do mine. I guess that makes us have holes in our socks. :D

I also have 3 or 4 big and small boxes marked 'computer stuff' which include keyboards and mice and cables and a couple of old IBM 5 1/4" floppy drives and a physically large 10MB hard drive and more wires and connectors and an A/B switch box and .... But the 'goody bag' is what you pull out and use whenever you open a case and go at it.

Dang, i need to 'clip' that toe outta the picture, eh? And I did have my socks on! oops... :D

I don't have a camera, but mine consists of some RJ-45 ends, a crimper/stripper tool, about 25 feet of cat-5, one of those el-cheapo 'PC Tool Kits', a cable tester, a 512MB thumb drive with a lot of anti-spyware, anti-virus windows apps on it, and a copy of the 'Ultimate Boot Cd' with windows boot disks, ghost and a slimmed down Knoppix remastered into it.

My 'goody' bag is spread out over my entire room:p Got a new old case, a processor or two, tons of screws and connectors, a few cables, some fans / heatsinks, mice, keyboards, converters, the whole deal except an extra monitor:(

I have so many bit lying round its ridiculous. I can see two cases, two pII motherboards (not working) lots of old cards and processors. The point is I keep forgetting which bit don't work and then buying new bits to complete a computer only to find out that it still doesn't work suprise suprise, which leads me to buy replacements for the bits I had to start with. And the cycle continues. I should throw this stuff away. It won't come in handy! One can never have anough hard drives though!

That raid 5 array has broken again, about 6 times now, always disk 1, so I'll probably need to buy a new one.

I don't even want to think about it.......LOL However, seeing as how I am in the process of moving, I'll be able to see how much crap I've amassed over the past two years. I cringe in sheer terror just thinking about it. Untangling this massive mess of cables is what's really going to kill me.

Cables, don't talk to me about cables I have millions of them (not quite). I had to buy a shelving rack to house the HiFi boxes, router, switches, PCs etc. I rent a small attic and can only seat three guests as there is only room for four chairs. The rest is just electronics and wires. Borg heaven.

I have a bedroom of stuff (I fix PCs as a hobby). There are about 16 PCs in there at the moment (not including the 4 I actually use daily). I have separate boxes and bins for cables, mice, memory, power adapters, PCI and ISA cards, hard drives, CD ROM drives, and the like. I do have a little toolkit with screws, jumpers, and other little bits, and it has compartments to keep it all separate. Despite my attempt at organization, the floor is full. You have to walk carefully to get to anything.

I know what you mean. We will be moving soon as well and I have 6 years worth of computer parts to contend with. I have a corner desk that I use and I have a 4 port KVM that is full and I still have two headless servers. Not to mention the wifes pc and the two for the kids.
