Ascend TNT Terminal Server need help

guyz im using gentoo.iv problem wid minicom.when i use it to get conect to net after a sucessfull conection is made it say" **Ascend TNT Terminal server** Enter Slection (q) : " when i press q it drop the conection.does any one know abt this problem.dont segest the use kppp caz it doesnt find my modem which is on /dev/ttyS1.your kind response will be helpful for me .

guyz ive solved my kppp problem.as i mentioned it that my modem is on /dev/ttyS1.so wat i did, i just made a sybolic link " ln -s /dev/ttyS1 /dev/modem "
and i check my modem in kppp now its working fine .
