STORMPROOF

I am running the best Linux Distro Slackware. :-)
My problem is that I can not get any of my wireless utils to work properly because of the monitering mode with this Cisco card (Cisco 350 PCI). This is what I have tried so far
echo "Mode: rmon" > /proc/driver/aironet/eth2/Config
echo "Mode: y " > /proc/driver/aironet/eth2/Config
Now here is a clip of my /proc/driver/aironet/eth2/Config
Mode: yna (any) bss rfmon
Radio: on
NodeName: STEALTH-SLACKER
PowerMode: CAM
DataRates: 2 4 11 22 0 0 0 0
Channel: 5
XmitPower: 100
LongRetryLimit: 16
ShortRetryLimit: 16
RTSThreshold: 2312
TXMSDULifetime: 5000
RXMSDULifetime: 10000
TXDiversity: left
RXDiversity: left
FragThreshold: 2312
WEP: encrypt
Modulation: cck
Preamble: short
Now here is an error message after I try to execute kismet.
bash-2.05b# kismet
Server options: none
Client options: none
Starting server...
Waiting for server to start before starting UI...
Will drop privs to stormproof (1000) gid 100
No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled.
Enabling channel hopping.
Enabling channel splitting.
Source 0 (ciscosource): Enabling monitor mode for cisco source interface eth2 channel 6...
Source 0 (ciscosource): Opening cisco source interface eth2...
FATAL: pcap reported netlink type 1 (EN10MB) for eth2. This probably means you're not in RFMON mode or your drivers are reporting a bad value. Make sure you have the correct drivers and that entering monitor mode succeeded.
Dudes please help, I have tried searching the net and have read many manuals. If Cisco is not a good card to use to for wireless sniffing then please let me know. Thanks
