I'd be interested to hear why you consider Python to be your least favorite language. I mean, come on, this is a Linux forum, you could have at least said something like VB or C# :)

;) I don't, like, hate Python. It's just that I tried it once and it didn't work for me. I don't like the idea of absolutely having to indent my code in some way to make my programs work. That's just not how my mind works. If I want a different indentation on a line because I think my code thus becomes clearer I want to have the opportunity to do so. Also you could never get this sexy line noise feeling with a Python script.
I never used VB or C#, so I cannot say that I dislike them.
If Python works for you, that's fine and there are a number of excellent Python scripts out there (just think of getmail). I'm just not comfortable with it.

1 - openbox seems leaner and less klunkly than fluxbox.
2 - the openbox code is not derived from blackbox in any way.
3 - i prefer the openbox method of handling configuration data; it uses xml based configuration files.
4 - openbox has a builtin "ALT-TAB" style menu.
5 - openbox shows a window's icon in the title bar and when 'ALT-TAB'-ing.
6 - the openbox look is nicer (in my opinion).

Hmm, maybe I should check it out then.
Although, I like the feel of Fluxbox's config files :)

Thanks.

Cool how fast that thread developed. Since there are some new categories, I might just join in again...

Favorite web browser: Opera
Least favorite web browser: Netscape

Favorite IM client: gaim
Least favorite IM client: ICQ/MSN

Favorite terminal emulator: wterm, xterm
Least favorite terminal emulator: konsole (it's too slow on my system :-\)

New category:
Most underrated webbrowser: IE (honest, I think it's not as bad as they usually make it. In fact when I'm working under windows and Opera's not available I use the IE)
Most overrated webbrowser: Firefox (Opera appears to be faster to me, but that might be system dependant)

Note to least favorite IT celebrity:
If we're just talking about programmers here, I might add Bill Gates. But in general I don't dislike him. He's a great entrepreneur (no one can deny that) and a nice enough person (okay, I think now I've gotten the wrath of at least half of the board members ;), please no flaming, it's just my opinion)
