The Insert Key

Does anyone here use the insert key on their keyboard? There are a few times when I'll want that kind of functionality (FEW), but more often than not, I just bump the button and all of a sudden start losing work. Recently, I was complaining about this to a couple tech-less-than-literate people, and they basically said that if they'd known that's what the insert button did, they could've been saved a lot of trouble in the past after they bumped it. These aren't dumb people, either; they're just not in to computers at all.

Anyone really love having a dedicated button for this function? Anyone have any stories?

Yes, I love the Insert key when I feel lazy working at the shell.
When I work at the shell I usually try to solve a particular problem, so I google for the correct commands that help me solve it. All you need to do is copy them in your browser, go back to the shelll, hit Shift+Insert, (modify the command if needed), hit Enter and there you go.
