Hello all

I am using slackware with kernel vmlinuz-ide-2.4.26, but i need tje 2.4.22 kernel too. I downloaded it and compiled it, but when i try to use lilo, it says that the kernel is too big.

But the first kernel is 1.248.111 bytes and it is ok. My new kernel is 1.208.041 and is too big? Why? How?

Can you help me?

thanks!

Now i see that it does not matter the size of a new kernel, i always got the message:

Fatal: Kernel /boot/vmlinuz... is too big

thanks, Luiz Gustavo

Maybe your /boot partition is full. Do the command df -h to see how much space you have left in each of your partitions.
