The idea just hit me cause Knoppix is 705 MB... too big for my CDs, so i thought I might try burning it onto a DVD.

Obviously, the advantage of a live DVD would be that it could hold a huge multitude of apps or maybe even content. Since people are now making live cds dedicated for certain professions, whole libraries of relevant information could be built right into the distro.

Has anyone ever made a live DVD? Is there any reason why it wouldn't be technically feasable?
