Hi all,

I am interested in replacing my old HP Pavillion and was hoping I could look to this forum for some good suggestions. I had initially thought of getting a PowerSpec from MicroCenter some come preloaded with Linspire and are not that expensive. They look pretty decent they have a cd burner and are a lot newer that what I am currently using. I am not real fantastic with hardware.

I can't spend a fortune but would like something that's going to be worth buying...1500 dollar range maybe?

I really apprecaite any of your thoughts on this

Thanks

You could definately build a very nice system for that kind of cash. Start here

This is one of my favorite places to look at systems. They'll install linux if you want or you can install it. They don't charge you for Windows unless you request it to be installed, very reasonable prices.

Monarch systems is very good & if you ask they will make certain that all of your hardware is linux-compatible, well worth the money I spent on mine last year.

Thanks I really appreciate the help!!! The hardest part is going to be trying to stay within a budget!

If you don't mind me asking what type of systems do you currently use?
Hardware, OSes? Do you have more than one box?
