Intel 854G on a Dell

Has any one gotten a Intel 845G chipset on a Dell to work with RH Enterprise 3? The intergrated video card will not go into X windows. Dell does not have a driver for it, and Intel's did not work. Thank you.

I read that the i810 driver worked in XFree86 4.3 version. Also, you may have to try different refresh rates. If you have a Knoppix or some other live cd handy that will start x on it and then see what those setting are.

No issues with it under FC2 using the i810 driver.

Thanks for all the responces. No luck, it still is trying to force the Intel 845 driver. I tried the intel 810 video driver with no luck. I lowered the resolution to 65. No luck. Any more idea? Or could I be doing something wrong?

When I put a PCI card in, Red Hat could put it in X windows either. sigh....
