Anybody a windows/exchange admin?

One of our guys here sent another guy an email within the office and now he has received it about 20 times???? Exchange has the hiccups!! Except that it isn't happening to anybody else.

Anybody ever seen that? Got any troubleshooting hints? I'm having them both stop and restart their outlook.

I did a little googling but found no useful info?

there may be a setting in there to delete emails from the server after downloading. Most email readers have them.
cheers

check the setting for sure. a couple times i have had thunderbird download messages that i didnt erase from the server multiple times. it was usually something that had gotten messed up with thunderbird itself. it was forgetting which messages it had downloaded. make sure that the option is set to delete after downloading and it shouldnt happen again

We figure it's a problem with the actual email message itself. I'll check tomorrow, but I believe the user has it set to delete files from the server once he gets them. But, this particualr message is generating an error like 0x00ccc90 ( I forget the exact hex for that right now). Apparently, his outlook tries to download the email, gets to the error in the message, lose it's mind, and tries to download it again.... endless loop.

More troubleshooting tomorrow.
