Ok, I installed Enlightenment.
I rebooted the computer.
E is not in the GDM window manager list.

Now what?

edit: I'm running Debian "Sarge", if you didn't pick that up from my sig.

edit again: I found it! http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&forumid=29&threadid=261848

Goto (= concidered harmfull (as an old COBOL programmer I couldn't resist) ;) ) /etc/X11/dm/Sessions
You should find there all your gdm-wm options as *.desktop files. Somewhere (don't remember where) enligtenment has dropped his *.desktop files. Find them and copy them over to the above mentioned path.
On my Slack10 machine I had to add "/usr/local/enligtenment/bin" to my $PATH in "/etc/profile" to get it to work. Also, on my Slack, I could not convince Gnome to use the enlightenment-wm. Haven't looked into that yet.

Edit:
O dear. I did it again. Problem was already solved. (Ah well, Dutch parlement is worse. There they create solutions for issues which aren't a problem).
