i just installed slackware on a dual boot with my w2k machine. i am using gnome and it doesnt fill my monitor size. is there a way to adjust the size without adjusting my monitor. i dont want to have to adjust each time i boot to a different OS.

BTW SLack install was ALOT easier than i thought it was going to be.

Edit /etc/X11/Xorg.conf, it's all there.

This would be caused by Win2k and Slackware using different screenmodes, I'm sure the only way to get the screen to fill the monitor is with the monitors controls. Does your monitor not remember different settings for different screenmodes? I'm assuming it doesn't, so a workaround would be to make sure they both use the same screenmode (resolution and refresh rate).

Slackware also surprised me by it's ease of installation, the first time I installed it.
