Thanks je_fro for replying me.
here is my exact requirement.
when we are logging into fedora core 2 we have to give username press enter and then give my password to enter into a session.what iam trying to do is to have both username and password exist together in same screen to enter into a particular session. To do these changes what i have to do?
Either to make any changes to rpm or any specific file in particular rpm. Please mention the rpm name which contains these details.

I realize that English isn't your primary language, but....
Could you explain better what you are trying to do?
An RPM is usually a package that installs a program. It sounds as if you're wanting to run a script of some sort.
Please Clarify.

No rpm is going to help you do that.
I'm not sure how you'd disable the security of usernames and passwords.
I don't think it's a good idea, and I've never looked into it. Nor do I have any idea how to accomplish what you're asking.

http://www2.knightcast.org/~alex/howtos/fc2-kdm.php Yeah, that's what it sounded like to me too. He wants to type in username and password on one(1) screen, not:
- username
- click to next screen
- password
- click again
gdm is very bad about this. I wish it wasn't so because I use(love) gnome.
I can deal with it easily enough, but my father...
I hate to say this but, they should an option to have it similar to MS XP:
- click on your user icon
- password
- press [enter] or click "ok"
PS
I know they have something similar to this in standard gdm, but it is really nasty looking. :(

We are developing a distribution in which we want to put both username and password exist in one screen when we are logging into system. In fedora core 2 we have two different screens for username and password. We want to club them together to appear on a single screen.
Can anyone please suggest me a method how to do it.

There's a theme for graphical mode called Happy GNOME With Browser. It's installed as an option on my debian unstable system.

It's already been suggested.
Fedora Core uses GDM to provide the login. That's what you said you don't want.
You want to use KDM to provide login, with both username and password fields in the same dialog. The user can then select their DTE, or you can specify the session default.
KDM is infinitely configurable, and can do exactly what you have said you want to do--and more.

"There's a new login screen (Happy Gnome with browser) which some people will like. It's similar to Windows XP's user list (with photos) so you can impress your buddies with it, but by default this login screen isn't selected (Bluecurve is the default). You have to set it manually (system settings>login screen> graphical greeter)."--http://www.newagebd.com/jan3rd04/180104/portal.html
I think it's in libgnome2-common.
