As a Debian advocate... I just found it very interesting that a poll of Unbuntu Linux users showed that most of them are coming from Fedora and Gentoo. It's interesting to me because Ubuntu is an offspring from Debian.
On the other hand, pure Debian users appear to be third on the list of most converted. :p And I'm actually planning on giving it a try myself! I must say that I was very impressed with Mepis (mepis.org), but the KDE desktop is too much like proprietary software for me(Ubuntu uses gnome).
Anyway, I just thought the Fedora and Gentoo users should know what they are up against. Sometimes when I say, "My distro is the best ever...", I'm really wondering if there IS something better out there.
