hi
I want to change my standard desktop from gnome to kde. I am working with gdm. earlier, gdm would ask me if I wanted to set kde as standard session, but now it doesn't anymore.

where do I change this? I guess in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf but I haven't found something suitable...

thanks alot

ls in /etc/X11 returns following:

app-defaults rgb.txt xkb Xsession Xsession.options
cursors xinit Xresources Xsession.d xsm

and Xsession is a shell script, and Xsession.options doesn't hold this value.

/usr/share/xsession doesn't exist

glad for more help

in Redhat, each user can have a .Xclients_defaults (?) which will indicate which windows manager to use...does debian not use this file?

.Xclient-defaults:

exec startkde
