I am looking for a book that could both hold my hand when teaching me about the basic essentials, and later on, give me a solid ground when moving on to the more advanced topics, like scripts.

I am thinking of buying this one:

Prentice: UNIX Shells by Example, 4th Edition

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/013147572X/qid=1099132952/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-9621268-0290406?v=glance&s=books

Is this a good choice or do you recommend some other books?

I've heard good things about this book, considered picking it up myself...still do

I just browsed at my online book store and noticed that O'Reilly's - Linux Iptables Pocket Reference was released so a took a "dive" and ordered both :-) ... I'm on a spending frenzy today ...
