So far I've gathered that I need two partitions which I've done with Partition Magic. I've got Windows XP on the first one and I'll put SuSE on the other. From the pages I've read here I understand that I should disallow Linux to place the bootloader in MBR.
My question is:
How do I disallow this? Do I do a manual install instead of automatic? Is it something that will be obvious?
Thanks,
gil

You will need to tell your bootloader (grub or lilo) to install to a partition not the mbr.
