how many fedora discs needed for install

installing fedora 2 on a home comp and i wondered if i could use just the disc 1 to get a basic install then apt/yum/up2date the other packages

The basic "personal desktop" install uses the first 3 discs.. although only one or two packages from the 3rd.

My friend just gave me a copy of fedora core 3, and its 4 discs...

its always best to have it all cos you cant be sure you don need the others

perhaps its possible, but youd probably have to to it in the command line
