I installed the downloadable version of SuSE and everything was fine, well had a problem booting into Windows with Grub but that's just a BIOS tweak. Anyway all seems well start to set it up how I like it and then I decided as I didn't do it while installing was to run the updates. SuSE found all the updates and recommended a heap of them so I just went yeah ok.... Well after that, no problem to boot to Windows but when booting back into Linux, no longer does it go to my user screen asking who is loggin on in the graphic interface, it quits that and goes to the code stuff, it asks me for my
Linux Login: ( my username I guess)
Password: (Still easy)
Then this is what it says

Last login ( has the last time I logged in)
Have a lot of fun

then nothing. If I run the updates this is what happens. how do I fix it to go back to the graphical login and how do I get back into Linux if this happens.

I was a Mac user for years but they are just getting so expensive as a home computer, went to Windows XP and well i hate it. So trying Linux out. Would love a hand cause what I've seen so far is really nice. Please help

Thank you

Also,do this:
1) cd /etc
2)su and give root password
3)pico inittab
4)locate something similar with init:3 and change it to init:5 I believe that's it in Suse
5)ctr-x answer y and enter
6)reboot
you should boot in graph mode now.hope that helps :D
