I found this link at the bottom of the main page:

I could agree with the opinion in the linked to article under four conditions.
1) Laws are passed which would make it much cheaper to obtain a software patent.
2) Laws are passed to limit how much money a person can charge for the use of their patent.
3) Laws are passed that would not require open-source projects to pay royalties on a patent.
4) The lifespan of patents are shortened to 5 to 10 years.
Ok, so 3 is a bit of a stretch.
What do you all think?
