I've tried to access the DLG site for the past two days and I get a "This account has been suspended" page.
Here's a link to the site http://www.dropline.net
I hope it's just me

I knew that there was talk, well actually more than talk, about removing GNOME from Slackware. One of the reasons was the ever increasing popularity of Dropline GNOME. The thinking at Slackware was there wasn't any need to continue to support something, that seemingly was causing P. V. and company, much duress especially since there was another supplier/maintainer of a Slackware "specific" package of the GNOME Desktop (along with some nice utilities that aren't included with the Slack version).
I *hope* that the "account has been suspended" message is indicative of a "financial" problem and not something more dramatic. I know that Todd at Dropline has run into the "debt" ceiling before but has never been "suspended".
Just my thoughts,

I've seen that before when Todd went over bandwidth...

Yeah, and he just came out with DLG 2.8.0, and with the news that Pat might cut GNOME from Slackware, that could put the site "over the top" so to speak.
Just adds impetus to "give to the cause".

Just to let everyone know, here is an annoucement from the Dropline GNOME website (which is now back up BTW).

Just to let everyone know: the recent downtime wasn't any sort of technical or legal problem, it was just a regular old Slashdotting ;) The ISP noticed the forums were making >100 database hits each second for a few hours, and thought it was a denial of service attack, hence the account suspension. Things should be back to normal now.
